It has been difficult to write this as I have so many happy memories of my Uncle. As a child I remember Uncle patiently looking after me when he could have been out with his friends! Then as a young teenager often getting our hair cuts at the same time at my Mother’s Salon in Purley and enjoying his witty humour with the young staff! Then in my late teens he didn’t hesitate to help me move from dodgy landlord digs while at university (great escape!)   More recently I remember the fun times at pub lunches with my Uncle and talking about his football team Manchester United and my team Crystal Palace over pints of John Smiths.
